Andrew Fiifi Simpson is an accomplished insurance executive with over three decades of progressive leadership experience across life assurance, asset management, and corporate governance. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Aster Life Insurance Limited where he provides strategic direction, operational leadership, and industry advocacy.
Mr. Simpson’s career spans key executive roles within leading insurance institutions. He previously served as Managing Director of Vanguard Assurance Company Limited, and earlier held several senior leadership positions at Enterprise Life Assurance Company Limited, including Deputy General Manager for Group Operations, Assistant General Manager for Sales & Marketing, and Head of Corporate Business. He began his professional journey at Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited, rising from Life Underwriter to Senior Life Underwriter over an 18-year period.
He has also served as a consultant and transaction advisor to major financial institutions, including Afina Asset Management, Donewell Life Insurance, Fidelity Bank, and I.C. Securities, providing expert guidance on acquisitions, bancassurance structures, and corporate transactions.
Mr. Simpson holds a BSc. (Insurance Option) from the University of Ghana Business School, along with a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management from the West Africa Insurance Institute. His executive development includes advanced leadership and technical training from GIMPA (Ghana), Swiss Re (South Africa), and Stellenbosch University (South Africa).
